Gyalshing, June 05 (IPR): The Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok constituency, West Sikkim, Shri Lok Nath Sharma made an extensive visit at various Covid Care Centres and Health Centres in Rinchenpong and Gyalshing Bermiok constituency, today.
The visit began from Mangalbaria Primary Health Centre (PHC) wherein he handed over an Oxygen Cylinder on behalf of the Alumni of Soreng Sr. Secondary School (batch of 1991).
Thereafter, he visited the Covid Care Centre established at Mangalbaria Sr. Secondary School and interacted with the concerned medical professionals and applauded their consistent contribution in saving lives of the patients.
In his next stop, Hon’ble Minister Shri Lok Nath Sharma visited Jhushingthang COVID Care Centre and enquired about the health status of positive tested patients and extended warm wishes for their speedy recovery. He was magnanimous to extend financial support to the working manpower as a token of honour and commendation.
Later, he visited Rinchenpong PHC and donated one oxygen cylinder on behalf of donors of 1991 batch mates and extended financial support to the health care front line warriors.
Similarly, the visiting team led by the Hon’ble Minister handed over another Oxygen Cylinder to 13th Mile Primary Health Sub Centre. He expressed gratitude to the health workers and ASHAs for their noble deed and encouraged to render the service with utmost dedication. He concluded his daylong inspection with the visit of COVID Care Centre at Bermiok Sr Secondary School wherein he also planted a sapling of Amla species at the school premises to mark the World Environment Day.
During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister was accompanied by the Chief Medical Officer West Dr Anusha Lama, concerned Block Development Officer, officials and other social workers.
During his day long visit, the Hon’ble Minister also took out time to interact virtually with the Officials of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services including the Veterinary Officers and field functionaries and also encouraged them to be determined in extending dedicated service for the progress of livestock farming in the State.
