New Delhi, October 13 (IPR): Under the guidance and direction of Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang, Chairperson Sikkim Film Promotion Board, Ms. Pooja Sharma called on the Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Shri Apurva Chandra at his Office in New Delhi, today.
While interacting with the Secretary, Chairperson Ms. Pooja Sharma apprised him about the upcoming second edition of Sikkim Global Film Festival which is being held from December 10 to December 14, 2021 in Gangtok, East Sikkim. She also extended him invitation to attend the festival as a special guest. She further informed that the state under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim proposes to set up a Eco Heritage Film Village in Yangang, South Sikkim and added that the Sikkim Film Promotion Board under the ageis of Information and Public Relations Department is diligently working to put Sikkim on the world map of Film tourism.
Secretary Shri Apurva Chandra accepted the invitation and assured to extend all possible support from the Ministry and added that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting shall support the State for developing the Film Institute and Film Studios.
